Andy Warhol
Andy Warhol (1928-1987) was an American artist and leading figure in the visual art movement known as Pop Art. His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, culture, and advertisement, often featuring iconic American products and celebrities. Warhol’s most famous works include the "Campbell's Soup Cans" and "Marilyn Diptych." He utilized various media, including painting, silkscreening, photography, film, and sculpture. Warhol's studio, The Factory, became a well-known gathering place for intellectuals, drag queens, playwrights, Bohemian street people, and wealthy patrons.
