Bharti Kher
Bharti Kher (born 1969, London) is a British-Indian contemporary artist based near New Delhi, working in sculpture, painting, and installation. She is best known for her use of the bindi as a signature material and for hybrid figures blending human, animal, and mythological forms, exploring identity, ritual, and the everyday. Her bindi-covered elephant 'The Skin Speaks a Language Not Its Own' is widely recognized.
