Jim Dine (born 1935, Cincinnati) is an American artist linked to Pop art and the early Happenings of the 1960s. Working across painting, printmaking, and sculpture, he is known for recurring personal motifs—hearts, bathrobes, and tools—that he returns to repeatedly as a kind of self-portraiture.
