Kohei Nawa (born 1975, Osaka) is a Japanese sculptor known for exploring the relationship between physical objects and digital perception. He is best known for his 'PixCell' series, in which taxidermied animals and found objects are encased in transparent glass beads that fragment their surfaces into pixel-like cells. He lives and works in Kyoto, where he directs the creative studio SANDWICH.
