Niki de Saint Phalle (1930–2002) was a French-American sculptor, painter, and filmmaker and the only woman among the Nouveau Réalisme group. She is best known for her exuberant, brightly coloured Nana sculptures celebrating the female form and for the monumental Tarot Garden she built in Tuscany over more than two decades.
