Paul Signac (1863–1935) was a French painter and a leading figure of Neo-Impressionism. Working alongside Georges Seurat, he helped develop Pointillism, applying small dots of pure color that blend in the viewer's eye. He is especially known for his luminous coastal and harbor scenes and for his influential theoretical writings on color.
