Qi Sheng, also known as Sheng Qi (born 1965, Anhui Province, China), is a contemporary Chinese artist working in painting, performance, and photography. Trained in Beijing and later in London, he is known for politically and emotionally charged work addressing identity, memory, and freedom, much of it referencing the political events of 1989 in China.
