Richard Long (born 1945, Bristol) is an English sculptor, photographer and one of the leading figures of Land art. Since his seminal A Line Made by Walking (1967), he has made art through walks in the landscape, recording them with photographs, texts and arrangements of natural materials such as stone and mud. He won the Turner Prize in 1989.
