Robert Indiana (1928–2018) was an American artist associated with Pop art, known for his bold, sign-inspired paintings and sculptures built from words and numbers. His best-known work is the LOVE image, first created in the 1960s, which he developed into prints and monumental sculptures installed in cities around the world.
