Rudolf Stingel (born 1956, Merano, Italy) is an Italian artist based in New York whose work bridges painting, conceptual art, and installation. He first gained recognition for his silver abstract paintings and accompanying instruction manual, and is also known for immersive room-scale installations and photorealist portraits based on found and personal photographs.
