Walasse Ting
Walasse Ting (1929–2010) was a Chinese-American painter and poet, born in Shanghai. Associated early on with the CoBrA group in Paris, he later settled in New York, where his work absorbed Abstract Expressionism and Pop art. He is best known for his vividly coloured acrylic paintings of nude women, cats, birds and flowers, and for his 1964 lithograph portfolio 'One Cent Life'.
