Xue Song (born 1965, Anhui Province) is a Chinese contemporary artist recognized as a leading figure of Chinese Pop. After a studio fire in the early 1990s, he began building collages from charred and singed paper, assembling fragments of calligraphy, traditional painting, and mass-media imagery into layered compositions that reflect on Chinese culture, memory, and rebirth.
